This feature is used for conducting online live Interactive lectures.
With the help of this feature, students can attend the lecture online wherever it is feasible for them, and for professors, it is one of the most helpful tools and it is useful whenever there are any unforeseen situations.
Steps:
- Click on MY ACCOUNT.
- Click on MANAGE TASK
- Click on VIDEO LECTURE
- Then you need to select the ACADEMIC YEAR. ( you need to preset the academic year in the settings option)
- Select COURSE (courses needs to be added before in the option of the course which is in manage data list)
- Select SUBJECTS (you can add the subjects through subjects in the manage data list)
- Select BATCHES (add batches through manage data list)
- Click on ADD button to add new online live lecture details.
- For adding New online live interactive lecture click on ‘ADD’.
- A new dialog box will appear and you need to enter details:- “LECTURE NAME”, “PROFESSOR”, “LECTURE TIME”, “STUDENT MIC it has three sub-options in it “USE MIC”, “DISABLE STUDENT MIC”, “MUTE STUDENT ON START”.
- TICK on the box for the “TEACHER CAN UNMUTE STUDENTS” option.
- TICK on “RECORD LECTURE” for recording the whole live interactive lecture about to conduct.
- Click on “SUBMIT”.
- “LECTURE CREATED SUCCESSFULLY” dialog box will appear.
- Click on “OK”.
- Select “FROM DATE – TO DATE” (For previous lectures)
- Click on “SEARCH”, to view previously added online lectures.
- A list of lectures will appear from the date selected above.
- On the right side of the lecture created there will be three options: – “UPDATE LECTURE”, (Two options will appear – “PROFESSOR” AND “LECTURE TIME” and then click on “SUBMIT”), “DELETE”, “JOIN LECTURE”.
IT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE LIVE LECTURE PLATFORM.
The option will appear “ HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN?
“MICROPHONE” AND “LISTEN ONLY”.
If we click on the “MICROPHONE” option, a quick part “CONNECTING TO ECHO TEST…” message.
“THIS IS A PRIVATE ECHO TEST. SPEAK A FEW WORDS. DID YOU HEAR YOUR AUDIO?”
then select the “THUMBS UP”(YES), “THUMBS DOWN”(NO) option.
MESSAGE (On left upper corner)
“PUBLIC CHAT”
It will be visible to all participated students.
Teachers and Students can interact through this public chat.
Teachers can share video links in it as well.
NOTES
“SHARED NOTES” (left upper corner )
In this, we can type or copy-paste notes you want to share with students.
USERS (numbers of users connected)
On the center part, you will find 2 signs
“USER LIST TOGGLE” (on top)
“ACTIONS” with “+” sign (on bottom)
Actions sign has 3 options
- START A POLL.
- UPLOAD A PRESENTATION.
- SHARE AN EXTERNAL VIDEO.
START A POLL
This feature is used for optional answers.
Select an option below to start your poll.
Eg. Yes/No, True/False, A/B/C, 1/2/3 etc.
“Leave this panel open to see live responses to your poll. When you are ready, select ‘Publish polling results’ to publish the results and end the poll.”
After publishing the poll there will be “WAITING FOR RESPONSE`S….”
It also has “PUBLISH POLLING RESULTS”, tab
This tab can be used by the professor to publish the result.
To CREATE a custom poll, select the button below and input your options.
It also has an option to create a “CUSTOM POLL.”
When we select any polling options, Students attending live interactive video lectures will receive the popup on their bottom right side on the screen. Students need to select anyone’s answer from the given options.
After answering, the professor can see the detailed report on the screen.
UPLOAD A PRESENTATION.
It is used to upload a Presentation in the online live interactive.
Professors can upload any Office Document or PDF file from their system. (PDF File will give the best results)
You can Drag the File or Browse it to upload and then click on “UPLOAD”
SHARE AN EXTERNAL VIDEO FEATURE:
This feature is used to share any external video with the help of the video source link.
Professors can share the video link from major video platforms. Eg,. Youtube, Vimeo, Daily Motion, Instructure media, and Twitch. (Shared External videos will not appear in the recording.)
The professor needs to copy-paste the URL Link in the dialog box. And then need to click on “SHARE A NEW VIDEO”
After this professor and student can watch the video in the ongoing live lecture.
BELOW your online whiteboard you will find “4 BUTTONS”,
- MUTE/UNMUTE – This button is used to Mute/Unmute the MIC of the user.
- LEAVE AUDIO – Users can use this button to leave the audio conference.
- SHARE WEBCAM– It is used if the professor or the students need to use their webcam for video conferencing for the lecture.
- SHARE YOUR SCREEN– With the help of this professors can share their screen with their students. It gives an option to professors to share their ENTIRE SCREEN, APPLICATION WINDOW, or CHROME TAB.
ON the RIGHT side of your whiteboard you will find “Toolbar”
TOOLS– It contains various tools for drawing such as Text box, Line, Ellipse, Triangle, Rectangle, Pencil, and Pan.
UNDO ANNOTATION – To undo any changes.
CLEAR ALL ANNOTATIONS – To delete all the rough work made on the whiteboard.
TURN MULTI-USER WHITEBOARD ON/OFF – With the help of the Multi-user whiteboard, Professor can grant access to students to make changes with the help of the Toolbar.
Below the whiteboard, you will find-
- HIDE PRESENTATION
- SLIDE NUMBERS
- ZOOM OPTIONS
- FIT TO WIDTH
- MAKE PRESENTATION FULL SCREEN
On Right Upper Corner there are 3 vertical dots “OPTIONS”:
When you click on options a dropbox will open it will have various options:
- MAKE FULLSCREEN – To make the Whiteboard Fullscreen.
- SETTINGS – It has various settings options such as Application setting
Application setting contains On/Off Toggle switch for Animations, Audio alerts for chat, Popup alerts for chat, Audio alerts for User join, Popup alerts for User join, the Application language, Font size.
Data savings settings contain an On/Off toggle switch for Enable webcams, Enable desktop sharing.
- ABOUT – It will give information about the current version.
- HELP– It will open a new help tab that will contain different tutorial videos.
- KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS – It will show you the various shortcuts available.
- END MEETING– Whenever a professor wants to end the online live lecture they need to click on END Meeting then only the lecture will end. (If the professor doesn’t end the meeting, Students won’t be able to leave the online lecture)
LOGOUT – After ending the lecture by clicking on “END MEETING”, Professor can logout of the session.
